My Experience

Loved the affordability and closeness to the ocean. Also tge meals were quite amazing

The checking in experience was terrible. I had called earlier for them to do a specual room for my 2 months old baby and to our surprise we arrived at 2pm driving all the way from Nairobi and the room was not ready for the baby. And guess what even after complaining the coat was brought four hours later! Also check on the staff they really need to have excellent soft skills since its a hospitality industry

Good location and value for money.

You will see comments like ' don't go there' and similar, the hotel is a little faded in parts. However I found it good value, whilst I didn't make use of the pool and the beach, it's situation was very good. If you're expecting 5 star, you will be disappointed, but it's location friendly staff and value for money deserves a good look.

food was relatively good and staff were helpful

place needs alot of maintenance and the bathrooms need alot of work. the room was stuffy. i didnt like that the public from the beach area can access the hotel

It was wonderful to see Nyali Beach Hotel again but revive the Bistro and Mvita Grill restaurants.

The room was lovely and the pools great. We ate in the little ala carte restaurant and the food was excellent.

I've known Nyali Beach Hotel since 1992 and was sad to see the Bistro and Mvita Grill derelict. The service was rather poor. Two out of the 3 times we wanted to swim we really struggled to track down someone to give us towels. And the tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets in the rooms were not replenished as they should have been.

It was fair as the rooms are quiet and cool hence a good rest

The new year arrangements were good for nothing,very backward and misplaced. Very dissatisfying and disappointing indeed for a beautifully located and established hotel that has to fight for a competitive edge in the industry. You had tge expections in your minds and had to struggle for a leverage and memento occasion

Good deal for the money paid

The property is very well situated. The beach in front was clean and beautiful in the morning.

Some staffs were really helpful and nice but whatI really disliked was that most of the time we were questioned if we were staying there as we didn’t belong to the place. I learned that some people use the place just for casual sex. The space had a great potential but is not well managed. Facilities are old but minimally maintained.

Let down

Rooms were nice, staff was awesome! Beach was awesome!

So hard to get ice for drinks, way too hard. Pool closed too early. Airport taxi was way too much. We got stopped just outside the airport and we're extorted for money by police for no seatbelt. The driver should have warned us, he new about it and didn't say buckle up before the police check. Like he gets kickbacks. Shower was always cold

Enjoyed my stay, good value, do recommend.

Excellent swimming pools, good breakfast and dinner buffets with a mix of continental and local cuisines and a live cooling station (pancakes/eggs/pasta). Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms with a proper balcony with sufficient sitting space.

Hotel layout isn’t straightforward and was initially confusing to navigate as there are no indicators to find the room or reception. During heavy rain there was some roof leakage in public areas (rooms are fine).

Good repeat stay

This was a repeat booking as we had been to the same place 3 times before. We opted this time for a suite as we went with all family members. Good overall accommodation and faulty AC was fixed quickly. Pool was clean as usual . Very friendly and helpful staff.

We were on half board. The breakfast was good and kitchen was responsive to requests for bacon. Evening meal buffet was ok but the nightly theme, diversity and selection we had experienced before, seems to have been replaced with only local fare. I assume this reflects the majority clientele but could go against the desirability of the hotel if seeking to attract more international guests.

Great price and location

The room, the view and balcony, the pool area, access to the beach, the price, and the location.

Bathroom badly needs to be refurbished. Beach isn't private and we were approached by lots of souvenir sellers, which was irritating. No a la carte breakfast.

The work cleaning the rooms she's so confused probably the hotel will give her assistant to help her changing bed she's can't tell my son got bite on the bed we can't even say what's walking on our bodies while sleeping on the bed at night dues to the deity of the worker
